Patrick Victor, Esq. obtained his Law degree from the Haiti State University School of Law in 1984 and worked as a legal advisor-consultant from 1984 through 1997, until he became a Notary Public in 1997.
Since 1980, he has been the representative in Haiti of the Cinematographic Circuit, Elizé S.A, which owns and operates several movie theatres throughout Europe and in the French Caribbean. Capitol S.A., part of the Elizé Group, is the biggest grossing movie theatre cluster in Haiti today.
Patrick Victor was a member of the French-Haitian Chamber of Commerce and Industry from 1990 to 1996 and became president of this prestigious association from 1994 to 1996. During his mandate as president, M. Victor successfully lobbied for the re-establishment of the COFACE coverage for French goods exported towards Haiti and for French investments in Haiti.
In 1994, Patrick Victor became member of the High Council of the Quisqueya University, the first accredited private university in Haiti. Along with M. Ralph Auguste and M. Jacky Lumarque, M. Victor played an active role in the negotiation of a partnership agreement between the University and a group of ten businessmen from the Private Sector for the development of Quisqueya University. M. Victor continues to be a member of the High Council today.
From 1995-1997, under President René G. Préval's first mandate, Patrick Victor became a member of the Presidential Commission for Economic Development. During that period, he contributed to the elaboration of seven (7) bills of an economic nature; unfortunately, none of these bills were ever voted by the Parliament.
A former member of the Board at the Geskio Institute, an important actor in the fight against AIDS in Haiti, Patrick Victor was elected in May 2006, by unanimous vote, President of the "Centre pour la Libre Entreprise et la Démocratie", of which he has been a member since 1994.
Born on October 14, 1955, Patrick Victor married Giliane Millet in 1978 and is the proud father of Patricia Victor Baker, 28, and Sabrina, 20. He is also grandfather to Mathias Baker, 1 ˝ and newly arrived baby girl, Ella.
His oldest daughter, Patricia, has a double major in Finance and Business Administration from the University of Florida, Gainsville, and is currently a fourth year law student at Quisqueya University. Sabrina is studying for a degree in Political Science at the University of Montreal, and hopes to continue on to Law School in Haiti.
